The walls were created by the Bulgarian wall manufacture Walltopia and were slightly steeper than recent WC walls, though still had the standard mantle producing slabs and corners.

Hall – 3rd round

This Saturday April 28th Hall, Austria will host the 3rd round of the bouldering WC. Hall wall German Chief setter Klaus Maxilian will bring his skills to the Salzlager.

The event website states the wall is “Based on the wall used in the world championships in Munich, the shape has been developed further by top-class climbers and trainers such as Kilian Fischhuber and Reinhold Scherer. Therefore, the height of the wall has been raised by half a metre.”

We hope that the added three feet and extra steepness will bring some hot-sports-action to the World Cup circuit.
