USA Climbing is so dedicated to routesetting that they now give you one more way to while away your hours at work. Announcing the new USAC Routesetting website!

Finally an all-in-one resource for routesetters’ queries about how to become locally, regionally and nationally certified in the USA.

USA Climbing runs America’s only certification program for routesetters, and now they have a new public presence with the opening of their official website.

Browse on over to usacsetting.net to find all the information you could ever want about getting certified and hosting a clinic at your gym.

The USAC Setting program is a one of its kind program among federations around the world. No other country has dedicated as much effort to educating setters — those just beginning their careers, and those who’ve been turning wrenches for more years than they’ll admit — through clinics, internships and certifications.

Historically USAC clinics and certifications have been only for top-end setters. But the program has recently added several certifications that beginner and mid-level setters will find attractive.

One of these new certs is the Basic Routesetting Certification, which is an introduction to routesetting for the those just beginning their careers. For you setters out there who want to know how to get started, this is the cert for you.

Another new certification is directed at setters who want to set locally sanctioned ABS or SCS comps. The Local Level 1 certification covers efficient ways to set high quality routes and boulders for local level comps.

And of course USAC still offers high-end certifications for those who wish to become professional competition setters. One of the new developments in the USAC setting program has been the addition of a setting internship at ABS & SCS Youth National events. This internship program is a great way to get your feet wet during the pressure and excitement of National competitions.

But first I advise you all to go to usacsetting.net and check it out.
