Not sure if anyone is watching the Rockmaster at Arco streaming, but watching the female final and looking at the results is pretty painful. Angela Eiter was the only competitor to read the feet first sequence at the top of the wall. All of the other competitors hucked towards the juggy looking hold straight sideways resulting in a 7 way tie for second. As a comp setter that is the kind of thing that makes you cringe.
7 way tie for 2nd at ARCO. 2 thumbs down!!!

Well, at least it wasn't an eight way tie for 1st place :P

Rumor has it that the dyno was the intended sequence and that Eiter found a way around that.

It just goes to show that routesetting isn't a science and that there are so many variables you can't keep track of. I don't care how good you think you are or how many certifications you have, at the end of the day this could happen to any setter. Yes, it wasn't great to watch but everyone did get seperated (qualis and semis)and the best climber of the day won.
