I'm embarrassed that no one has replied to this topic... I don't want to be a hater on my first post but it shows the lack of experience and orginality on this forum. I tried this idea a few years back with renting foam from the local gymnastic center but regretably it wasn't in the cards. Great job to you for pulling it off and holy shit! that was HIGH! I'm not saying that this is something every wrench fondeling gumbie should try but I think it's definitly the next step in competitions.
Our sport lacks that element of apparent danger that other extreme sports have. Yeah, you watch motocross or the half-pipe for the tricks but really theres always that,.. oh shit if that dude f's up he's taking a 50ft header! appeal. It's the thing that keeps you in suspense. I'll agree that recent bouldering comps have come miles from the past, but to see our athletes do dynos and drivebys some 40feet up, man! i think that would add a lot to the viewer. Damn, tell me who out there wouldn't want to see the World Cup wall set up over a huge foam pit or even better, an aerated lake... Hopefully in our day we can see something like this. It takes guys like Vince trying to push the limits of what we're comfortable with and sharing with the rest of us. Good job V and keep those ideas flowin..

Competition Climbing and bouldering is not dangerous and should not be advertised as such. It is a normal sport that can be practiced by any person in any gymI do like it
