Does anybody here have any words of wisdom on things I need to think about for starting up a hold company. Specifically about insurance and liability.

Slap Holds got sued... they're done now
I believe that you're going to want some liability insurance, I'm talking off of the top of my head, I don't actually know.
If one of your holds snaps and the climber hits the floor then you're most likely to be sued... so I'd talk to a insurance agent / climbing wall assoc and ask them

yes... get it. Some customers require a copy of ours before purchasing. Also think about "recall" insurance.

Thanks...I figured that's more or less what I would hear.
I never would have considered "recall insurance". Didn't even know it existed actually.

Hey Arjay, you need some shapes? I got some and according to everyone else they're really nice, but no one wants to buy them :(

if i owned a company i would buy all of the holds Donovans posted here... and if i had a budget i would buy them from your company!!!

Donovan, I'm not sure if I'll actually get things together far enough that I start selling holds. I want to. Thing is I hate the business side of...well owning a business. If I do though we can talk about it. I really like the first set you posted.

Oh and Thank you very much to Kaleb, I appreciate the kind words.... Maybe I should write a business case as to why people should buy my shapes and use your post as a testimonial ;)
