And if so.....
1. Do you use a boom lift or scissor lift?
2. Do you have a padded floor and if so how do you get around it.
3. Do you use them everytime you set ropes?
4. How big of an area do you need to close off when in use?

Too Expensive.. ladders and Gri-Gri's for me.
Lift would be sick, i know that the edge in Vancouver has something, either a cherry picker or a skyjack or something/
We use one to set our roof which is about 25 feet up. It is a boom. We have a 3" drop from the rest of the floor down to a rubber base with pads on it which surounds the wall. The pads are easily moved and to keep the wheels even we use 2X4's if we need to move over the lip. We rarely use it and only have it because it is a university, so it gets used mostly to replace lights. I was a bit nervous the first time but it setting so easy.
Something makes me think the new Stone Summit in Atlanta was planning to use one, but don't quote me on that.
I also spoke with Syndey Indoor Climbing Gym and they use one. They have thin (2") pads that they can easily pull up to drive the lift around.
I just noticed that Central Rock Gym (Worcester, MA) has a permanently installed boom lift. It's mentioned in this article on DPM. (http://www.deadpointmag.com/articles/view/big-up%E2%80%99s-new-plastic-collaboration-paul-robinson-and-chris-danielson)
