Looking for a hold company out there that might be interested in an idea I have for a routesetting/tool bag that would be really useful not only for our gym but others.
I'm not so interested in making a buck from the idea - just would like to see it in use. I think it is a very practical, functional and unique idea - but not a bank-breaker.

No posts yet - so here is the idea in hopes that someone will make one.
A bucket-like bag with re-enforced sides which keeps it open (rather than those route-bags that close in on themselves) made from a durable CLEAR material - like PVC. Similar to a clear dry-bag but perhaps with some nylon stays in it for re-enforcement and strength. I think the clear material idea is a good one - I hate digging in dark buckets for holds and bolts.
Bags could be various sizes from 2 gallon up to 7 gallon.
Would contain a couple of medium-sized pockets on the side and maybe a small zippered pocket for a cell phone (since I hate crushing my phone with holds and tools). Maybe a couple of simple sewn loops for tools and clipping points for a biner or two.
So there it is....
I'd love to see someone make one.

Asana bucket looks nice but $62 is kind of pricey.
You can get a nice Klien Tools lineman's bucket for $35-50:

Or you could just get a Homer bucket for $2.50.
My roommate and i have started a Bouldering Bucket and Chalk bag company called B.A.Gear. We have the buckets in about 4 gyms and stores and there selling like crazy. We have been making Haul bags and bags just for setting with the hopes that there is a market for them (Which there is) I have been using them for a while and they have been holding up to the large weight of holds i sling around on a daily bases. I want to post some pictures and see what you guys think. I also designed one just for Bolting. Me and a good friend have been bolting in Muier Valley In The Red all winter and the bag has been amazing. Rick the owner of the land only wants to use Glue in Bolts and the bag works great for that and has lots of deep inside and outside pockets for bolts, Glue, Brushes, Rolling Tobacco and a nice little spot to store your Ale 8s. It amazing. Anyways....I'm done ranting but ill post some pics and a website soon and would love a honest opinion.

These are just the first run but here are some pictures.
We have a couple of Asana bags and they are nice but, again, the issue is with the staying open part, the flimsiness of the buckets and the lack of light in the buckets.
I know there is some clear material that is durable enough for the weight of holds and tools - much like haul bag material. So, yes, see through - or at least somewhat clear.
Aside from the functionality, I think they would look really cool too.

You can hang one between your legs or on either hip.
See through in stead of black would be nice.
A place for the bolts would be nice (although i normally put them in the holds)
Cut that and put it in your Asana bag.
