Does anyone have the old Pusher Scream hold that they would want to sell or trade? Its the one that looks like someones face pushing out of the wall. Kinda creepy but makes for an excellent start hold. Im trying to get ahold of one for an upcoming comp. If anyone has one and doesnt mind parting with it, please let me know!

Just email Clark @ Revolution he may be able to pour one for you if he still has the mold
It seems (and rightly so) that (P)usher holds are still wanted on the market... soon they will be back... I hope

Tried that. Clark stated that they really weren't in the business of "novelty" holds, which is definitely understandable. (kinda sucks though, that was a really clever hold!)
Pusher holds are definitely holding their value though. If you're lucky enough to come across an old Boss (not the new one), you would probably pay more then it cost back then to buy it. I know they remolded it and I am hoping to get my hands on one of those as well. (Our old one has seen better days!)

you mean like this? An original Boss... in urethane?
(sorry couldn't remember the code for adding an image)Posted 2 years ago # -
Yep, thats the one! Thats awesome that they reworked the old mold and are now pouring it in urethane!! Id love to get my hands on a new one. Our old one is pretty beat up and chipped to high hell!
just before the old boards went down, there was talk of the new Pusher sets going out to several gyms. Did you guys get any of those? Ive emailed Clark to see if they were gonna sell them openly but havent heard anything back.

I'm waiting for my stuff to turn up
That Boss was poured before they reworked the mold for the current Boss pours. It weighs 25lbs and as far as I'm aware the only urethane Boss from the original mold... it even has the (P)usher around the bolt hole. When I say the mold was reworked I mean remade and the hollow back remade to lighten the hold up. Either way I'm stoked to have it

Awesome, I wonder if the new hollow back versions still have the (p) logo. I'll find out in a few days, just got off the phone with Revolution and ordered a new re-poured Boss.

I believe we have an original. It matches all of the descriptions. It is currently on the wall but will have to check the back of it(completely solid or a little bit of hollow?) I know it is at least 5 yrs old though I'd guess much older.

One easy way to tell if its the original Boss is by checking out the texture. If it feels as slick as a toilet bowl, then chances are you in possession of the most famous hold ever poured! If you take it off the wall and its one heavy SOB, then yep, its da BOSS!

I still do not understand why companies who have the absolute BEST holds... only to let them vanish! SoIll used to make huge font slopers that were perfect! What happened? Or all the old Pusher sets? Those are all CLASSIC shapes.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Well sounds like an opportunity for shaping huh. Obviously you don't just want to copy someone elses shape but you could bring your own unique spin on it!

Those soill slopers are amazing...We have all?(5 of them) at the University of Kentucky wall and the shapes are great, it is almost impossible to throw four of them into a boulder problem and not have an instant font classic...only down side is that some how over the years their texture has gone to shit...wonder if soill still has the molds, maybe pour on requests are possible...

Well the Boss is back on the market, took me a while to get Clark to pour it for me, now everyone can buy it, I think it's $99 (or around that price) and it's money well spent IMHO
So Ill might still have the molds and might do a pour for you... some companys actually pour holds for X amount of time and then once the molds are done they just move onto something else. I know Voodoo have been bringing back some old shapes in limited numbers

who sculpted that thing anyway?

There is is!!!!!!!!
Thats the hold im looking for. If anyone wants to sell it or trade it for another hold I would be extremely happy!

Ah, the old So iLL Font slopers. I think they were the first shapes I ever did for them. Unfortunately the old urethane mix was not what it is now and most copies in existence have slowly deteriorated. Not sure if the molds are still alive somewhere, but it would be nice to see them come back.
Posted 2 years ago # -
yes...I definitely know the deterioration you speak, none the less some of the best shapes I have ever seen and have at the university wall...did you happen to shape the crazy "C" shaped font hold(can be seen in dosage 1-bring the ruckus problem 4 crazy jump iron cross...)by pusher as well, if so does revolution have mold for that hold still...just as classic as the boss in my opinion and never gets enough credit!

The one you're describing is called The Beast, and I did not shape it. I think Marc Russo did that one(?).

Nice! Now that I have the name of the hold, maybe it will be a tad easier searching for one. Any takers yet?
Since this topic is about an old Pusher novelty hold, does anyone remember what some of the other ones were? I remember both skull holds, cant recall any others at the moment though.
