hope you guys don't mind all the noobtard questions, we're remodeling and we only want to have to do it once.

you can stretch it to overall 30 degrees
with sections up to 45 degreesbut putting the rope back into the quickdraws will always be a pain in the ass for some of the climbers.
put the quickdraws, and big holds strategicaly

I think J is referring to a strictly toprope climbing wall.... right?
If this is the case, all you have to do is calculate the maximum distance of swing (floor space) that you can allow in your facility and then you will have your angle.
...Plus it becomes a safety issue when it comes to people getting 5 ft off the ground and then letting go (fall) they swing the entire distance out and can either scrape themselves on the floor, or it becomes a game of tenpin bowling :)
Does this make sense to you... Let me know if you need an explanation that goes in to far more detail.

In response to donovan.
You are correct. But if you put in some quickdraws on toprope your swing will be less and you will not swing into the ground if you fall in the first meters.
this wall overhangs about 25 degrees and is always toproped
http://klimgids.climbing.nl/amsterdam/thea.htmlThey have plentuy of room to swing out but i would want to fall from 5 meters high in a toprope without quickdraws
