RSS Help
You’ve seen the RSS logo all over the place, but do you have any idea what it’s for? Here is the low down on RSS feeds and RSS readers.
RSS is a type of web feed that allows users to keep track of new posts or comments on multiple blogs and websites, all from one place. That place is called a RSS Reader, or sometimes an Aggregator. Google, Yahoo and Newsgator are a few examples of websites that offer RSS readers.
The advantage of using RSS feeds is that they automatically tell your reader when there is new content, so you can stay on top of the news without going to every website/blog to check. Now you can even have the article summary sent to your email as soon as it is published — you can’t get more personalized service than that!
Subcribing to the Routesetter.com feed is easy. Simply click the link ‘Subscribe to RSS feed’ on the right-hand menu. This will take you to our Feedburner page, where you can add Routesetter.com to a plethora of RSS Readers simply by clicking their logo, or choose to be updated by email.
You can also subscribe to a specific post (or article) on Routesetter.com to get updates when someone makes a new comment. At the bottom of each post is a smaller “RSS” logo with the words “RSS Feed”. ‘Right-click’ on the words “RSS Feed” and select ‘Copy Link Location’ from the pop-up menu. Then add this URL to your list of subscriptions in your favorite reader.
